WHAT IS THE COLUMBIANA SOIL AND                          WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT?

 

The Columbiana Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a legal subdivision of the State of Ohio, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Soil and Water.   Each one of Ohio’s 88 counties has a local district office.  The Columbiana SWCD was organized in April 1942. 

 

The mission and vision of the Columbiana SWCD are:

MISSION:

“To provide assistance, communication, and education through community leadership for the stewardship and improvement of our natural resources”

 

VISION:

“To be the recognized leader and source of land use information and conservation expertise through efficient, proactive, and responsive assistance”
